2/7 Pow Mow 13m

The wind was indeed out of the SE today. That wind direction seemed to work well except in the gullies where it was really light. I rode 13m but should have pumped up the 15m. Jake was on a 15m and him and Ben were the only ones able to kite from the parking lot area through the super light wind zone by the trees to the areas to the East. Mark J. and I skied over and rode the rope tow to the top and set up there. It was a good call because there was not a single track anywhere and the snow was exceptional. 4-6 inches of fluff. The best snow I've kited on yet. Ben said it was the best day this year and he's there everyday. Not sure if the wind was stronger in the am or not? Mark rode his 11m. Sunny and nice. Clouds rolled in late and it started snowing. Rode my super floaty 160mm wide skis and they were great but I was wishing I had my twisted board. The wind was stronger on the windward side of the far hill and the snow was even deeper over there. Kenny- Hope the info helps with your forecasting. BTW- You're doing a great job. THX!!

Fun time riding at Pow Mow. Could have used a bigger kite. By the time the wind picked up I was wore out from working the kite.
Got a couple of old fashion runs on the skis. The kind where you use a lift to get back to the top.

Hey Mark. The someone in the picture is Michelle. Thanks for thaking that shot.
Jake, thanks for the use of the kites and harness. Michelle is flying really well now. Would like to get her moving around on skis or snowboard now. Hopefully next weekend at the MT snowkite rodeo.

South East wind great for some of those who could make it to the sunrise ridge. Everybody was stoke to try out the new kites.
A lot of new faces I haven't met. Thanks for coming up.

Sorry, I didn't BBQ the Bratwurst. I will BBQ it for the next event.
