A new launch has manifested at Deer Creek. I stopped at the windsurfing launch but that was too tight. I noticed the end of the lake looked wide open so I drove to a pull out up the road and walked about 300 yards to where I could launch. The rigging area was smooth matted grass and was really nice. It was easy to self launch the kite. The water was alittle more challenging. There was sections of small bushes sticking up and some sticks and wood to watch out for. It's not a beginner spot. The water stays shallow for a long ways out so you can walk out past some of the bad stuff. The wind was up and down but I got plenty of good rides. It was a blast to get back on water again. Jim Southwick was going back and forth, upwind, on his windsurfer. I appreciated the company. George Ward got a suprize. He was talking with Jim and told him he was going to check out the end of the lake for a possible launch. He drove up there and there I was rigging.
