I got to Grants before 9 A.M. and Ken was just going out on his 4.7. It didn't look good. Spray on part of the lake and glass in other parts.Gusty, holey and kind of westerly. The water is up but still a short reach. So I drove around to Mona. 2 kiters out on Rush. It looks about as wide as my swimming pool. MM19 looked good but I didn't want to be the only one out on that big lake blowing offshore.I got to Mona just before 11 and it looked pretty filled in.My meter read 20-25 with gusts to 30. So I rigged my 5.2 and went out for an hour or so before it cranked up. Came in and thought about the 4.7 but went 4.2 instead and I'm glad I did as it was good for a Half hour or so before it clocked @ to the west a bit and got real gusty. So I hung on in the gusts and schlogged in the holes for a little while longer. I could have sailed a little more but it was starting to rain a bit and gusty holey and I was alone so I packed it up. Fun time and it wasn't all that cold. See you next time. Tom W.
