4/9/09 Strawberry River 13m Ozone Sport

Postby John Guay » Thu Apr 09, 2009 7:50 pm

It was a nice afternoon with periods of sun and overall good visibility. The surface is still really good. The snow got a little sticky late on the day but it was soft and smooth, not crusty or punchy. The wind was light at the parking lot but steady enough up on the hillsides. Three or four others riders were out having fun. While I'm getting anxious for the liquid it's nice to be warm, dry and mud free! Be carefull in the parking lot. I would still advise 4WD.

Similar conditions at Coop Creek, although as usual there is a bit more vegetation showing than at Strawberry River. 4 or 5 riders. At least one rider at Chicken Creek East.

Myself, Jon and Matt,
had a late afternoon session at the top of Lake Creek,
that was very nice also.
Sure hope to get a few more up there.
