4/20 Rush puddle..

Postby rizzle » Tue Apr 21, 2009 8:56 am

We arrived about 5:45 to Sal riding down wind on his 15m ozone and a small board, as we watched him walk back up wind so I suited up in just a 1mm top and board shorts(first time on the water this year and no wetsuit, I love utah) and grabbed my glide and Sals kite. I rode powered to under powered for about 30 min or so, I looked to the beach to see jason driving to the north ens of the lake. I came in and handed the kite to Sal. Jason had the longest session with his downwinder... We rode till around 7:30 when the wind died.. Looks like today will happen agin, get it wail you can, it was only knee deep in the middle...

Ry..

I wore my 1mm top with board shorts as well. Never really got wet above the knees. Great 4/20 celebration! :))

I rode Rush on Saturday 4/18. The water has come up from the beginning of March. It is still very shallow, but the reach was about double compared to the beginning of March. I am hoping that it will get higher with the run-off. I will be out there for a dawn patrol tomorrow morning if it goes off.
