Actually I was on the bay west of Willard Bay State Park. I've been out there a few times but this is the first time I was able to kite. The dirt road to get there is a bumpy pain, the launch isn't so great, especially by yourself, but once you're out and going, it's great! I was set up and ready to go by 6pm. Average water depth where I was was about a foot to 16". Further north it's more like 2 feet. Fifteen minutes after I started, I wished I had put up my 12m. By 7pm it was getting a little dicey so I called it quits. It is a fun place to kite and if you want, you can go a long ways. Or you can play inside a fairly protected area. This location is the bottom selection on our UWA places.
