Another classic day at Sulfur. It was just a great afternoon with 5 other sailors starting on 5.9 to 7.0’s and switching to 5.2 to 6.0’s later in some very sweet wind. The predicted thunderstorms never developed and the wind was great. One of my favorite pastimes is whipping across the relatively flatwater bay at full throttle and seeing if I can get my feet unwedged from the foot straps and jibe before I rip up the hill into the fisherman’s club. My 6 fastest GPS speeds have come from that stretch. The water is still quite high and it is warm enough it is a pleasure to go down. And everything is so green for this time of year. I needed to be home early so I quit at 5:30 but it looks like it kept blowing until 8:00. I have sailed hard for 3 days, with wild 85L Sonic sessions the last 2 and I need a break. I left the gear out of the van this morning so I wouldn’t even be tempted. A little rest and it is off to the Gorge the end of next week. Penny is going for the whole trip this time so look us up if you are up there. Hopefully, 4 days of sailing out of the last 6 have got me in shape and dialed in.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
