First time I have kited the Salt Ponds in 2 years. Water is low this year. Wind was out of the NE which is not a great direction as it is more puffy, but at least I was powered up. Made for kind of boring riding as I don't like jumping there if there is any risk of all at falling into the brine (instant eye shut and throat swelling). Water is reddish white with clumps of salt interspersed. After cruising close by one clump, I realized that it was a tumble weed covered with crystallized salt. Have to rinse all my gear today, everything is covered in salt. Not sure why I go there...
