Lincoln 14m and Wave Tray 157 powered to lit

Postby ChrisPSherwin » Mon Sep 21, 2009 10:39 pm

A cast of characters totalling about 10 this afternoon - evening. Great vibe. I showed up at about 4:40 and rode until just after sunset. Some of the waves just outside the jetty were surfable on the 157 tray for about 5 seconds. Praise the Laaawd for ankle surgeons! Committed to straps yesterday since I was getting lofted off of the surfboard too often. The 2004? wave tray is TONS of fun in the waves - and MUCH slower than the Cruiser Pro. The rocker and tipped ends are very forgiving.

14m kite was left in depower mode most of the time. Peter held on to his 16m. Just all sorts of fun tonight. Saw Billy coming back from SSB. I suppose you had a good time?

I got there early and put up the silver arrow around 2:30. Wind finally picked up around 4 and I had a solid hour of 13M kiting before I had to pack it all up and run home for dinner. It was much colder, wore the full wetsuit and snowboard helmet to keep my head warm. Wind was very nice! Good to see everyone going out just as I was leaving.

I had my best kiting session ever last night at Lincoln! I was well powered on the 11M Instinct, pushing a little over-powered toward the end. I rode for two solid hours and finally came in because my hands were starting to get numb.

Billy would be proud - I pulled off a few toe-side reaches and even ventured into getting a little (very little) air. :))) How I talked my wife into canceling our dinner appointment with some friends last night, I'll never know. But it was so worth it! All I can say is, I need more!!!
