Barbwire Beach Classic 11/5

Postby David Kyle » Thu Nov 05, 2009 8:21 pm

Great turnout today.
I rode strapless barndoor as I havnt quite got over my fear of serious injury after my last. Hope this snow season gets me back to progression insted of regression.
Had some new riders from the west coast, one of which had some really nice new style that was quite different from our local badasses, hope they stick
around.

DCIB on a Pole board. the usual 138L & 7.5M George, Jim and Mark also windsurfing. Lots of Kites invading our territory (just kidding) But seriously, I have never seen so many kites so far upwind. Some were hanging out at Rainbow Bay I think. The fishermen must have been pissed, Wind Riders were everywhere!

The green ozone was amazing. I was breaking personal speed records on the edge of control in a over-powered gust trying not to crash when he shot by me looking like he was relaxing on a cruise or something. :oo

For me and my first season Utah only measuring stick it was epoch.

Good times! I was out there on my 11M, 135 cruising for a good 2.5 hours. Lots of kites out and a good number of sails as well. Sorry pole-boarders - I was one of the invaders. ;)) I decided to go on a little upwind adventure around the island and back. The fishing boats were all over the place today. Hopefully I didn't piss too many of them off. We need this weather to stick around until it decides to dump a whole lotta snow!

Hey mark, How do I acess the facebook pics. About the fishing boats! They always pile up on the south end of the lake when the thermal comes in, they know that we will be out and
they are not in a big hurry to get away. I dont think they care just as long as we dont cross below their trole or try to snake a beer off their laps.

I showed up after work to catch the leftover wind. you guys used almost all of it up. thanks a lot. got 45 mins or so of just enough to mow the lawn.

Nice turnout at The Other End afterwards. Probably 12 or so kiters there. PBR 24's!

Mark,

I can't view the pics either and I have a Facebook account. I'm getting this error:

In order to view the pictures, you have to click on the link inside of the forum instead of from your email. (At least that is what worked for me!)
