Sailed the south wind on Thursday the 11th on a 5.8 and low 80's temps. No wind for the next two days :( . Did not see that coming nor did noaa with the forcast changing by the hour. Sunday came and so did the wind got out on the water around 8:30, high 40's temps and got in trouble on the 4.0. Made it half way across the lake completely op and water lift off the surface I thought it was time to jibe and go back. Did not make the jibe and waterstarting was a diffcult task. I thought I may be spending the rest of the morning swimming for my life. Got up and going and made it back. Rigged the 3.6 and was well powered for 3 hours. Swell was almost head high. Finished that day around 4 on a 4.6. Monday op 5.2. Once again rigged early and the wind came up a little more after I rigged, should have gone 4.6 but thought if I did it would died, it did not back down until 2. Tues 5.8 and 117 lightly powered freestyle session. Sweet trip. Mornings were cold and afternoons were warmer but still cool until tues, left it was 75. Strongest wind I have ever sailed in and got to used my 3.6 for the first time. :)))

Yes, six mile on the south and sailed with many kiters. Kathrines on the north and no kiters. However, over the years I have seen many kites at kathrines, but most launch out of Telephone cove, instead of cabinsite.
