RUSH IS BACK!!

Postby mike rossberg » Tue Feb 28, 2006 8:20 am

Rush back for another season. I drove out yesterday Monday, hoping to ride but she is still frozen. Looks to be similiar in depth as last year. Butter Island in the south end of the lake is an island. There was some open water near the pig farm but only 15 feet of liquid around the shore of the main channel. Access to the launch is the same. Pray for warm weather.

On another note, we will be posting within a week the dates of the UWA spring activities, the Dinner and SWAP.

Later,

Mike Rossberg

Great!!! If you go there again let us know about the temperature! It has been very tempting the last few days!

Air temp was about 60, water temp was probably around 45 at the launch area and 50 at the south end of the lake. The lake (pond) is so shallow, that it is always close to ambient temperature. It is definitely too shallow for windsurfing, hopefully that will change with some more runoff. It is also full of weeds.
