Matt and Marty, had posted up on the west ridge waiting for the wind to turn on. I think they were there for a few hours. My son Max and I showed up about 2pm. No wind and no body seemed to have much faith things would change. But I have been trying to have a real good kite session with my son for six years now. I am not joking. We have been skunked in Huntington Beach, Longbeach, Utah Lake, DCBB, ect ect. to many no wind or too light days to count. Max and I were going to wait this one out. I had faith in Kenny. He said it would turn SW late and it DID. At about 3:00 I saw Matt and Marty head down the hill, and bam 15 minutes later the wind turned on. Blowing 15 to 20 mph. Max and me had Skyline all to ourselves. The perfect father son Sess. He was ripping and this was his first day ever snowkiting. So I am lit on my 17M, and flying up and down Bosco faster than ever and thinking to myself "wow it does not get any better than, this". Then I look down and see Max death looping the kite getting dragged up to the road. In a lull he had got a lineover one wing tip. But no problem! My son recalled all his safety training. He ejected his quick release grabbed his leash and saved my new Kahoona from the road. Solid performance. I am one happy proud father.
