SKYLINE 02/07 2010

Postby David Kyle » Sun Feb 07, 2010 9:32 pm

Arrived with Peter and Trevor at about 12:00 to strong gusty east winds that were ridable till 5:00ish
We rode 12m Liquid Hacoc, 12 Nemi and 13m Waroo lit up most of the day.
Looks like the new girls were doing quite well today and we had a pretty good turnout of about 12 kiters.
Hope you all had a good chuckle when I got teabaged after an accidental chicken loop release. I just hope noone
heard me scream like a little girl :)))

Interested to hear more on Skyline yesterday... How was the snow? Stay east all day? Visibility? Sounds like it could have been epic if it all came together.

Kited up in the Uintas yesterday but wind was kinda fickle and snow was awesome once the low clouds cleared off. Good sess overall.

"Teabagged???" Did the slednecks get ahold of you?

Wind stayed east all day at high teens low twenties. We had very little new snow but there was
a large amount of wind blown fresh stuff that was everywhere. The corneses were way fun to
blast off but the gusty conditions made it a little unsafe on smaller kites. Trevor Clark was out there
and gave us a free photo shoot. Hope we all got some good photos with the mildly crappy visibilty.
The Teabag was when I tryed to gap the huge hole at the west ridge parking area. Got my speed,
picked a good line, sent the kite, turned my back into the wind, and suddenly my chicken loop
released when I was in flight, leashing me down into the center of the hole like a teabag.

Right, I remember you Dean. 08/09 green Ozone. Cool to have you out to play. Great to meet
lots of new out of towners. Sometimes I take Skyline for granted as I kite there maby 2-3 times a week
where as some folks travel thousands of miles to get some. Hopefully Utah has more snow in store for us
this season as its been a little, you know ;))
