2/13 - Strawbs Chicken Creek - 11M, 164

I stopped by Strawberry River to check out the scene. The wind was blowing, but not as much as I wanted. So after waiting around for a while, I headed down to Chicken Creek where the wind was definitely stronger and more consistent (which I guess is due to the W in it today?). I managed to dink around a little on my 11M Instinct near the parking lot until the wind started to really pick up. I was nicely lit for about 2 hours and really enjoyed cruising around the hills to the west. I shared the stoke with a few other kiters in the hills until my legs finally gave out and I had to call it quits. All in all, it was a great introduction to Chicken Creek. I was happy the snow was soft enough to use the Twisted board and that I didn't have to use the skis. That board is sick behind a kite!

Billy - maybe I'll join you guys on your down-winder next time. How did it go??

Sorry but your skiis were not as fun as Twisted today, says me! I'm not sure Billy made the trek although I seen
large groups of kites out in the strangest places on my journey to the Cabins. Im sure his group found the goods as I just found solitude.

I saw Billy around 4:30 PM at Chicken Creek West. I was getting in a little session after teaching my son to kite at Chicken Creek West. My 12 year old son had some great rides. All in all, it was a great afternoon.
