WOW. Best wind I ever got at DC. Steady strongish wind for 2 hours. Had to stop after ripping 2 blisters :(
Lots of people on the beach and I had no clue who they were. It was like sailing in a foreign country ;)

I agree. The most wind I've ever seen at Deer Creek. It was good to mix it up with Emmanuel at BWB. I guess he was only brave windsurfer for the day? We had alot of non-regular kiters there today. It was good to see them as well. Dark, ominous clouds to the south spooked everyone of the water, but no squall, reminiscent of last year's Utah Summer Games fiasco, ever came through. Went from 11m down to 9m. It was classic 9-7m wind today!!!

agree., that was probably the best DC wind I ever had, 3hours of 11m. I guess it makes up for being skunked yesterday at Willard, :?? Hopefully the night shift will get the goods at UTLB tonight as I finish my boring exam!!
Off to the gorge for the next week. :)))

No, Manny wasn't the only poleboarder on DC today; George, Dave'O and I were down at Charleston. George and I started with 6.6s, Dave with a 6.0. And then it filled in! George dropped down to a mid 5, Dave to a 5.0, me to my 5.3. Still too much!! George went down to a 4.x, Dave and I went home. This is my 31st year of windsurfing DC, and it was one of the best days ever.

Yup, just a crazy good day with lots of people letting it all hang out. I bet my board came off about 30 times. The wind was good enough to just boost the crap out of yourself, but there were many occasions where I didn't, or just didn't care about landing. I was laughing so hard at myself once that I pulled water into my sinuses. Just awesome...
