I drove thru heavy rain and even some hail between I15 and LB, but it ended abruptly just as i arrived at LB. Todd and I headed out around 4 to punchy wind averaging high 30's, with gusts over 50. 7m and 8m kites. really wasn't a lot of fun for the first 45 mins or so just trying to hold down the 8m. Finally the wind came down a bit and smoothed out a lot. for the next hour it was high 20's gusting to 40, which was way more managable and fun. John G. timed it just about perfect, heading out as the wind ws getting better. Around 6:30, wind was getting too light for the small kites and we called it a day after 2 1/2 hours. I see the wind ramped back up to an avg of 40+ around 9pm. nice evening.

Biggest wind I have ever been in for Utah, if not ever. I was wondering why my 7m felt so overpowered, all the way depowered. Then after we looked at the meters while we were out we saw 50's at lake shore!!! :88= . Like J said the first 45 minutes were hold on, tryed one little pop and said no way!! after that the next 2 hours were fun with big floaty air and a small kite. The swell out side was breaking like surf. Fun night. A few asked you done? after almost three hours I was stoked and ready for a taco.. :))) planning on going down early today as I have class tonight.
