Wet, warm and windy were the choices of the day. Got to Utah Lake after 3pm and on the water & rigged by 3:45.
The frothy chocolate wind and wave thing was happening with raging gusts. Side shore wave start due to south onshore flow,
but once you powered up the pounding began. The apparent wind in the gust drove me south west around the point,
out of the slamming south swell. I was a good ways out heading back when it died @ 4:20, some swimming before I got
the zephyr to slip ashore on. Was only 30 ft. downwind from my truck in the weeds, so I walked back to recharge and
reflect.
The breeze came back up in flits and flops, so I decided to ride the fat slalom for a couple
more jibes. I was surfing the rolling brown tubes to the south shore than jibing and pounding up and over them
heading south. Slow jibes outside and snappers on the inside for another 30 minutes or so.
Having to swim into the current and soft foot it ashore, I was clay and warm wind baked in moments
after doffing the wet suit. Fun and frothy time for sure, only saw one other windsurfer out to my east.
