Had two different days where Lake Powell served up some SERIOUS wind... I absolutely love to sail Lake Powell...

I say it every year... When it's good, it's the best in the world! Sounds crazy, and it is a little crazy, because I'm thinking about some of my best sessions in Maui or the Gorge, but board shorts, super warm water and air, long fetches for waves to build up, fresh water, red rock cliffs, etc...

Would love to plan a UWA Lake Powell trip some year... Few house boats, park in the best spot for wind, usually in the main bays and channels... And just wait for the good stuff.

I've NEVER been skunked on a Lake Powell trip.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that there was a California kiter there in the same canyon a few houseboats away... We sail/kited together one of the sessions...

If you put a trip together I would be in. I keep my boat in Page and I'm only 2 hrs away. Lone rock is great for non boating campers and not to shabby on the right days for kiting.

Yes, Wayweap treated me well a month ago, but the big channel inbetween Bullfrog/Halls Crossing
gave me four straight days of 40+ and was able to catwalk up a 50' cliff, run and glide off. I dont need to snowkite
if I can play at Powell once in a while. :)))
