9/2 ULLB, Big kites/boards

Postby brian.doubek » Fri Sep 03, 2010 9:12 am

Light wind came up around 6:30 for a nice sunset session. Jason said he counted 16 kites on the water.

I think I am allergic to Utah Lake. After my last few UL sessions I have been very congested all night and part of the next day, anyone else experiencing this?

oh yeah - very allergic myself - allergic to deer creek too. Get a netty pot and rinse out your sinuses as soon as you can after kiting. It's about the only thing that works for me. A quick puff of Afrin or someting similar before bed can help also, but you don't want to use that stuff too often.

I have the same problem with all freshwater lakes. I use nose plugs. If I do get water up my nose, I take some Sudafed.

I only get it in the beginning of the kiteboarding season or haven't been kiting more then 2 weeks. I only get it in lake or river, not the ocean. My body get use it after a few sessions in the lake within 2 weeks.
