9-9 SSB and Lincoln 17,13,7 m big to small board

So Todd convinces me to go to SSB because he hasn't kited in a while - we get there, it sucks. We wait for almost 2 hours and launch Zephyrs. Cruise for a bit - not even marginal - I'm getting snobby for sure. I pack up and run into Trevor and Tyler who tell me that Lincoln has wind. I have been looking at Lincoln for the last 2 hours and will bet $1000 that you can not fly a 13 there. Chris G is suppossedly flying a 10 there. LIARS!!! I protest! I stop at the end of river road. Trevor and Tyler head for Lincoln. I start heading home and my phone rings. Trevor has a second hand live update and swears that I can fly a 13. I call my wife who's expecting me for dinner and she says. "Well if you're almost there and it's windy, you should kite. I have plenty of stuff to do." My wife rules...

So I get there and launch 13. Chris G comes in to get a 10. Trevor goes out on a 12. Tyler is having technical difficulties with one of his kites, so he launches a 7. Others ride 11 and 9. All have large grins on faces. The waves get bigger, the airs get crazier and everyone is in full rally mode. At one point I huck, twist out of my board, and do a Fred Flintstone for a loooong time, hoping that the water will be deep. FYI, the water is not deep until you're past the jetty. I land pretty hard and punch a combination of rock and muck. I'm fine BUT - my flag line is stuck in my depower clam cleat. Thank the Lord, Tyler dropped of my board and I eventually got my lines fixed. Got out of the water at dark. I'm still tired. That was great - let's do it again.

Awesome wind at Lincoln last night! Seven of us shared the sunset session riding everything from 7M to 11M with tons of stoke. I rode fully de-powered on the 11M the whole evening and had plenty of juice. I think a 9M would have been ideal. Lincoln delivered the goods!

BTW - Chris was throwing some HUGE air!

Yeah...good day.
I got there at 4:30 and sent a text to Tyler informing him of conditions. I rigged a 10 and kited alone for about forty minutes before the wind came down. I went to shore and pumped a 13.5 and a few more people showed up. After I launched I realized the wind was back up. I rode the 13.5 fully depowered and fully lit for a few tacks and then went in to switch back to the 10, which I rode for the rest of the night.
Lincoln is sooo nice when it isn't crowded, we all had a great time.
P.S. I know that jumping the jetty is hard core, but I am pretty sure Sherwin could have cleared both sides last night if he had wanted to. Chris, with balls as big as yours weighing you down it is a wonder you can even get out of the water. Well done.
