Earlier and windier than yesterday and better attended - Grant, Duane and Shawn were already out ripping when I arrive. Grant and Duane were on 8.5s, anticipating that the wind would back off rapidly; it did. Not sure what Shawn was on. I rigged a 7.5, and it was plenty in the gusts. Fairly steady early on but got progressively gustier.

122L and 8.0 for me. Craig's rig suggestion was right on the spot. It could be my 3 week wind drought, or just low expectations, but today felt like one of my best DC sessions ever. Almost no slog time! and yet I wasn’t OP'd much either. Very strange wind for DC :)) .
I Sure hope tomorrow repeats. :-P

Oh and I left early... As I passed the state park by the dam I noticed a lone sailor out. Was that you Jim? Some day I will make a trip up to the dam and back. Probubly not a huge feat for some, but It would be for me.

I agree with Shawn. One of the best DC days I can remember. The only time I came off a plane was in the turns.
