I was up enjoying the deep albeit slightly heavy powder at Brighton yesterday with my son. The wind picked up along the ridgelines in the late afternoon, so I thought I would try riding the lake right above the old Evergreen lift. Wind looked good when I setup but became intermittent. Sat around for 15 minutes and then it filled in. Got some short rides, but the snow was so deep that I really needed a larger kite. The snow was thigh deep and heavy, felt like I was a human plow. Hiking out was a chore, fortunately I used the kite to drag myself as close as possible to the trail. I only had to crawl a couple hundred feet to get to the trail.

The spot does have potential on a southwind day. Wind will never be clean there, but rideable and the terrain features look fun. I will have to try it again another day.
