What I got for Christmas :)

Postby Mike Egan » Mon Dec 27, 2010 10:34 pm

Christmas day I scored a bonus session before the big front 7.3 & 117 flat water , 12/26 first day ever in the waves :)))))), over powered 4.7 and 81 liter quad waves waist to chest high. 12/27 6.2 & 117 waves waist to chest high.

Wave sailing is the best thing ever! Condition on the 12/26 reminded me of pics from Pozo. Blowing foam, sand and spray everywhere. Super powered and perfect ramps everywhere. No question had my highest jumps ever and did not get to ride much because I was too OP. Two breaks at Fort Desoto outside and inside however there was no time to rest in-between. Got worked in the shore break on my second session which didn’t last very long because it was full on 4.0 and I was tried . Plus I only had a 4 hour sailing window on the 12/26, had to be back with the family.

Got work by a large almost head high wave on 12/27, thing broke right on me as I was racing to make it over, whoops.

Learned a lot and ready for more. Thanks Santa you kick a--!!!

No wind until the weekend :(
