Full Moon Cruzin'

Postby Mike Hill » Thu Jan 20, 2011 9:21 am

Been jonesin' for a full moon ride since I took up snowkiting. Poached southfield last night (across from the Heber airport) about 8:30. The rain and warm weather has compacted the snow to a firm but not hard/ icy surface. About 2" of corn snow on top made the lawn mowin' about perfect. Rode till just before 10 when the wind was shutin' down. Just myself and a little fox -lookin' for an evening snack-. Deer Creek is in good shape too if you like flat fast riding.

I was thinking about that last night on my way to PC. The moon is so bright, it would made for a good session if the wind was good. Glad you get some rides.

What a rare treat!
full moon, clear sky, decent wind and sufficiant snow cover. Wow, I want some of that... if it ever happens again. How long were you watching for the opportunity?
