12 riders made the trip up Molas Pass, near Silverton Colorado. South winds all afternoon powered 10-13 meter kites. Amazing day with likely the grandest views Snowkiting can offer.

New lines and routes, high flights, half pipes, and downhill runs back to the road. As usual Chasta showed us and some of the locals a few new spots to play. Big Air Joubert hung out with the birds. We got to track up the whole hill, right before a Snowcat dropped off a guided tour of skiers. They were stoked to see us kite up hill and jump, but bitter that we stole their freshies, carving the mountain up like a pumpkin.

4 of us loaded in the van and left our day jobs behind to follow Chasta. Its been good chasing the wind so far.

If you are in Durango or Ouray, you need to make a trip up the pass to check out the massive areas here. It makes Skyline look like a gateway drug for Snowkiting.
