It was good to get back under a kite after a couple weeks off, waiting for my shoulder to heal. Took it easy and rode the 7m, still had plenty of power. Cool to see many riders out today.
Here are a few quick shots I took.

Yeah what a cool day. I rode 13m Roo which worked the living piss out of me for hours, must have
been tuned to the max or my 5 month sofafest has finally caught up to me.
I just couldnt hold the dam thing down. Was able to ride 7M later which was a total blast.
Great day except now I feel like I've been pushed down about ten flights of stairs then
trampled by a heard of wildabeasts.

It's like finding a long lost girlfriend,
And having $#x all day long.
Knowing in the back of your mind,
she is leaving town again soon.
I love you ,, Rush
Please don't leave.

Doug was on his 5.2
never touched bottom, plenty of reach.
Windsurfers missed a great day.

You don't want a 16" fin, but short boards will work great

The legendary Rush lived up to its reputation. I was a Rush virgin until Saturday. Now I think I'm in love! I was fully powered (and then some) on my 11M Instinct and couldn't get enough of the smooth water. GPS logged 30+ mph and over 20 miles in 1.5 hours on the water.

BTW, how's the water quality (i.e. does it still taste as bad as it used to?)

Personally, I just don't drink it,,so I'm not sure how it tastes,,,ha..

It's a little brown, they dug a ditch for a pipeline,
so it is not as clear as it was the last few years that we were out there.

Just remember. it's been dry, so it's all new water.
Not mucky super soft bottom, like in the '90's.

If there isn't a dead carp every 15 feet and dead sheep floating somewhere in the water then it's already better than years past. What's the may-fly population like though? I swear I ended up with a colony of those in my vehicle from visiting there. IF it's blowing hard I'm sure it's not an issue, but when the wind dies . . . .
