8/6 Salt Ponds 21M Speed 3

Postby Kenny » Sat Aug 06, 2011 7:36 pm

Wind was lighter today, so I used my largest board, Spleene Monster Door. Decided to take a reach to the other side (about 4 miles), bad idea! Wind was NNE when I started and then clocked to NE, so I found myself having to tack upwind for several hours to get back. However, it was relaxing and I zoned out while riding back and forth on crystal green waters. Saw a lady pull over with her dog for a walk. I was surprised to see them jump in the water for a swim. On second thought, the water is nicer than the GSL.

I kinda like the sound of that "crystal green water". I tend to catch myself smiling uncontrolably when the view or water color is too much for eyes to handle.
Maby I'll try the salt ponds one day. What was the deal with the girl and the dog?
Like I always tell myself, women have a hardON for kitesurfers, and will do anything to be around or to avoid.
