8/23 ULLB Gives up the Goods

With a hunger for wind that needed to be satisfied I drove to Lincoln beach on a whim and a prayer. She served up a meaty buffet of perfectly powered 16M kiting from 7PM until 9 with only 2 desperate souls to take it all in. When I first got there the bay below the jetty was the only place it was blowing. It was like some kind of twilight zone or fold in the time/space continuum where the windspeed went from 0 to 13 then back to 0 behind the reeds. AS odd as it looked It quickly filled in everywhere as soon as I got on the water. Getting in the water is about the only enjoyable outdoor activity in this kind of heat. Normally we're in the Gorge when it's hitting close to 100's here and return just in time for lower 80's but with the seasons all being a month or two behind this year I'm finding it a lot easier to work inside, ignore the yard work that needs to be done outside, and get in the water with the slightest promise of wind.
