Not as windy as we had hoped. Sailed from 7:45 - 11:30ish... on a 6.5m, Ken on a 6.0/7.0, Mike on a 5.8, Karl on something fast (imagine that...)! Strong windlines would come through, then drop off. MIke, Josh, and Ken left for Willard... I sailed another session or two... started to get a little skunky.
Yesterday (8/30 Tuesday) some of the same, not as strong, not as gusty, but again on a 6.5 / Duane on a 6.5 / Mike on a 5.8 / Jim on a 6.1(?). Wind started a little late, but turned out to be an ok morning.

5.7 for me and it was a fine choice really. That and the 94L Carve have been fun lately. It's small gear but it's quick. I could have been on my 7.2 but it was all good rip/schlog in the end although the pond is starting to get smaller. SMOOOTH water at least. Not the glass Kenny is getting at Rush but bearing off the wind, especially next to the beach, is sweet.

Kinda wish I coulda hit Willard but...

on the other hand, Teapuhoo was SICK yesterday. no thanks.
