2/3 Skyline Snowkite Masters 21M

I missed the best winds that occurred in the morning hours. Winds were out of the East all day which made for some fun and challenging riding. Bosco was literally untouched by kiters. Everyone massed on the west side of the upper ridgeline. The surface conditions are still good with packed powder in most areas. It was a bluebird day and everyone enjoyed ripping the hills. I enjoyed a little ridge soaring along the ridgeline. As the winds lightened up late in the day, lots of kiters made a run for the parking lot, but most got stranded far from the lot. Fortunately, there was a sled to pick up all the stragglers. All in all, a fun day.

Skyline Delivers. Despite mumblings of no snow in the Rockies and a miserable wind forecast, kiters made the trek to Skyline. And guess what? There was snow and there was wind. Kiters were all over Skyline for 3 days straight; freestyling, soaring, ripping the steeps, exploring the hidden back bowls, or just mowing the lawn happy as a lark. Thanks Brian and Heather and everyone else for putting on the show. Skyline delivers.
