Rush ~ St. Paddy's Day

Postby darrenfowler » Mon Mar 19, 2012 7:47 am

Arrived at Rush around 10:00 a.m. to gusty-holey 4.5 winds. It soon picked up to 3.5, and then even picked up more.
Lot's of people out, the water was'nt too cold, especially after the sun broke out.
Great icebreaker/season opener!!!

I got there around 8am, shortly followed by Doug, Todd, Vern and Brian D. Marty and Morton maybe an hour later. I figured the wind might be a bit smoother early on and I had a nice 1 1/4 hours on the 10m. Most people on 7m's for the early session, but i think the 10m was the right choice for the first hour. Came in when the wind ramped a bit and got gustier and switched down to the 7m for another 1 1/2 hrs. Lots of windsurfers out. Nice first day on the water for me. Still hurting a little - guess I'm gettin' old.
