Hi,
Any of you kiters have any educated opinions on the quality or performance these boards and kites?

Thanks.

Rick,
From the photos,
the kites look like very old designs.
iwindsurf classifieds has a lot of options.
Look for 04 or newer gear.
I suggest also 5th line system
for any "c" kite
It's a buyers market for kites,
cause most kiters are going with the new "bow" type,
and dumping thier old "c".

Great,
Thanks Marty. I really appreciate the input. Is the 5th line something that is created during the construction of the kite? Or can it be added later to any four line kite?
Anyone have any input on the boards? That looks like a good price for a new board. I would assume that the 135 would be about the right size for me, a total beginner at 5'11 and 175 lb.

Thanks again.

Most companies have 5 line bars,
Check the web sites of the manufactures for info.

I made my own 5th line relaunch, safety system
a few years ago,
before the kite companies started to sell them.
I saw what Ken Winner was doing in the gorge,
then just experimented.

Since then I've had,,,,
Slingshot oneline
Naish Shift
North 5th element (06)

My favorite is the
North, because of the micro hook,
the Naish is a close second.

Kenny has a Shift for sell in the
UWA classified.

Tons of info on kiteforum.com
do a search.

Spencer,

If your 10M has a solid pump leash, you do not have to do any special mods, just attach a long pigtail. I have done it on a bunch of kites and it works great.

My favorite bar with a 5th line is the One Line bar from Slingshot because it allows you to pull in the 5th line and cleat it off. This allows a ton of depower.

I still have the Shift bar for sale.

My opinion,
Boards are personal preference,
even my home made plywood board works.

Once again,,

kiteforum.com
do a search on the boards.
I'm sure someone has comments on each board.

In light of our discussion of safety gear....I thought you kiters might want to see this clip.
Be safe! Trip
