Thinking about finally going to Rush but decided, if I was going to take a break from Grants, I would go for some long reaches. It ended up being a great mid afternoon sesh, definitely a notch up from Saturday. I wish Pelican had a wind meter. Both days the Provo Airport was reading 8mph when we were having +20 winds at Pelican. The Saratoga Springs meter is useless and the Lehi meter seems stuck straight west. The new Pioneer Crossing meter seems to be the best and you can see if right where you turn onto Pioneer Crossing to go east. However, it was reading 4.7 winds most of the afternoon which was a little high. It didn’t matter anyway as my Blackberry is on the blink. Super long reaches, grass rigging, restrooms with flush toilets, relatively warm water, and no dirt road puts Pelican a notch above our other sites. A great afternoon.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
