10/2 Craig's Where to Ride

Postby Craig Goudie » Tue Oct 02, 2012 8:45 am

South winds today. Look for DC to come up around 1 and run 7/14 until 5 or 6PM. Sulfur
Creek looks to be 6.5 sails from Noon until 5 and still in the low 70s air temps. Willard is
also a possibility for 6/12, but I'd watch the indicators before I went there.

Tomorrow looks like windy Wednesday. Look for DC to go off early (like 11AM) in the
6.5/12M range, and then devolve into strong gusts and holes by 3 or 4 PM. Sulfur looks
like yet another unseasonable warm mid 60s air temp day with 5M sail conditions. The
best bet is UL launches. Look for 5/10M conditions starting around 11 AM and ramping
up to 4.5/9 by 3 PM. It should stay good until dark, and be warm enough to avoid
tooth chatter, so enjoy!

Thursday looks like another Sulfur Creek day in the 6M sail range, but getting cold
with air temps in the low 50s. Some potential for a residual North wind dinner sesh
at Lincoln on 15M kites also.
