11-24 skyline 16 m

My kiter buddy from southern Cal. Was in town for thanksgiving, so we tried out skyline saturday morning. We arrived early at about 10:00 to kiteable wind. After seeing the snow conditions at bosco and around the parking lot we drove back up he road to the nw and hiked up the small hill to find untouched snow and better wind conditions. The wind was rideable 12 but i had more fun with my 16. So far this year i've had a tough time getting to ride skyline. My first trip i blew the motor in my new truck, the second trip (this one) started with a speeding ticket, then upon my first launch my depower line snapped making for a sketchy repair almost costing me the entire trip (its all on video, i'm working on posting that somehow). But after only a couple hours of exploring new places all over the back of the mountain i remember why i keep coming back. Beautiful day saw a few others down at the parking lot, i'm pretty sure mark johnson was one of them because i cut him off while jumping forcing him to turn suddenly the other way. Sorry mark! I thought i would clear far downwind of you, but...didn't. I don't know who else...i only remember mostly dynos or other north kites.

Of course its still pre season snow just normal cruising uncovered obstacles everywhere we went, but only a little care/caution and a helmet can go a long way.

Ok, sorry Jim! And i also want to know how you shred so fast! I was amazed at how fast you could walk all over that mountain with i think a 13m? We decided to head back and spent 10 minutes struggling over the uphills with little power and there goes jim ripping past us!
