2/6 Kenny's Where to Ride

Postby Kenny » Wed Feb 06, 2013 10:08 am

Summary: a minor cold front passes over the region today bringing north wind. A much stronger and wet cold front is forecast to arrive on Friday and linger into the weekend.

Today, Strawberry should have the best wind with wind in the mid to upper-teens. In fact, it is already on. Skyline should also me good with low to mid-teens.

Thursday is promising some pre-frontal south winds. Skyline should be favored with wind in the mid-teens. PowMow should get much stronger winds possibly reaching the mid-twenties. Strawberry - well, it is a south day, so Strawberry may get some rideable wind if you are willing to hunt and/or wait to find it.

Friday is promising to be a snow day at the higher elevations. Strawberry may be rideable with east winds and snow flurries.
