2/9 Kanaha 13m

I got a text from Todd yesterday asking if I was kiting. I replied "hopefully tomorrow at Kanaha". he texted back "ha,ha". I'm not sure if the ha,ha mean't good joke so I figure I better post. I packed my kites in my regular luggage and rented a surfboard from Neil Pryde. The wind was decent 13m but alittle side on, so not optimal for turning down the line but fun none the less. I would head out into the break until I was faced with a scary big wave then turn and ride it(or flee) towards shore. There were lulls between sets so I made it all the way out a few times and was able to get on big waves before they peaked up. Those were the best. Witnessed some crazy kiters and saw kites getting tangled and stuff like that. Real nice being here though.
