5/22, DCBW and Lindon Double, all sizes!

Well, it was one of the craziest day as far as wind goes for DC with so many people out. From 12:30 to 2, from 12 meter to 17 meter all worked. From 2 onward, it was a bit of everything. I had hard time holding down the 12 and Todd had hard time holding down the 13. Pepe almost went Superman with his 17 coming in. Alex, Todd and John joined me for the early session. Corey and Victoria did a downwinder from the dam. Amy, Dave, Chris, Doug and a few others came in for the late session. By 4, the wind was so smooth, I think Dough must think it had been like that all day.

Since I was promised a double header, I went down to Lindon and saw Mark there. We rigged. He was told by Chase that the wind was light. He went out on a 15 and didn't seem to like it much after an hour. I was on the 12 and had a fun time. Then the wind started to be funny in a DC way. From south to southwest and then northeast!

My foot strap nut came off at the right time. . . almost 5 hours of kiting in a day isn't bad.

I liked it, but had to go get things done.

Rode provo Harbor with Peter and Jake Wright for the first time. Fun times but a little restricted. With the light winds I had my 15m go down. Barely got it relaunched before it reached the jetty. Jake wasn't so lucky. Saw his kite downed on the rocks. Left there and stopped by lindon to give my friend Cody a quick water lesson without the board. Leo and Mark were already there. I knew Bluffdale had already switched to a strong N so we wouldn't have a lot of time. Couldn't resist so I rode his 16m for about 1/2 hour as the wind shifted from WSW to N around 7. First time I've had the wind completely change like that without having to stop kiting.
