Snooze, you loose! When I arrived at IB about 1:30, things looked pretty good - small whitecaps everywhere and very few holes. A smallish board seemed like the call. Alas, by time I got on the water (1:52) there were holes galore. Decent gusts continued to roll through, but less and less frequently, the lulls got more and more profound (as in flat, dead calm) and the wind direction became less and less stable; the wind looks a lot better on the chart than it actually was. Still, it was fun to finally get back on the water!
