9/18 Lincoln Beach, 11M Solo Session

I knew everyone would be hitting SSB this afternoon, but my car doesn't have the clearance to get in so I thought I'd give Lincoln a shot. The highway is closed right before it turns North on the last stretch to Lincoln, but all the construction was happening beyond Lincoln so I took a chance and got all the way up there without being stopped. Besides a couple of pickups with boat trailers and an RV, the place was a ghost town. I had the place all to myself. I got out on the water about 3:00 and the wind picked up nicely. I was sufficiently powered on my 11M for about an hour and a half before it backed off. The water level is really low, so I just drove my car out near the water line and set up on the dry exposed lake bed. As I was packing up to leave, someone else showed up, which I believe was another kiter. Good times.

Jon, I went all the way out to the edge of the water at SSB with my Prius, which has 6 inches of clearance.

Leo - I've been tempted, but I only have 2.5 inches clearance in the front. Next time I'll have to borrow the wife's 4Runner.
