any links to the wind up at pineview? how can i tell if it's blowing up there, or is it a crap shoot? any more info on the launch? UKB makes it look enticing, so does the weather outlook on NOAA....

thanks! i'm still struggling with this bleak july we are having and my novice meteroligical skills.

I haven't figured pineview out yet. A couple of things to look for larger temperature gradients. Wind seems to be stronger at wind surfer during a warming trend after things have cooled off a little (spring and fall). Sometimes a cold front from the north can be good. South winds seldom bring anything. Larger prevailing winds (winds aloft) from the west or southwest give the afternoon thermal an extra boost through ogden canyon.

Here is a huntsville weather station located near the chevron. It probably wont do you any good unless the wind is really on.

Here is the wind speed and video cam at the elementary school in huntsville. It was great when it was pointed at the flag next to the library, pineview in the background.

Not sure how the noaa forcast relates.
