Had a great morning of sailing but stuck around to see what the afternoon would bring. 21g31 when I rigged after lunch, figured 5.2 would work in the lulls as well as the gusts. But ended up hanging on for dear life. The meter shows it was 28g30 when I hit the water that, even with a Grants meter correction, was a tad high for a 5.2. Definitely some 4.2 gusts but I had switched to the 86L after lunch and was flying with the little race board like it was launched from a cannon. Stayed more South than I expected. Typical afternoon sailing as I sank tail 1st for lack of wind several times. Only lasted another 1.5 hours when the thunder started and I derigged fast and left. Great day.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
