Maybe some residual North at Rush for huge kites through early
afternoon, and still cold. Otherwise, not much happening.

Tomorrow windless, but warmer. I still think Sunday has the
best potential for planable wind you don't have to risk your life to get.

question. last summer (i've learned a lot since then) i took your forecasts as the final word for the day. with both water and snow kiting going on right now, are you mostly looking at water locations or all locations like strawbs and skyline? i'm looking to kite this weekend (haven't been for three weeks!) and want to make sure i don't miss out on the wind.

so, do you look at mountain locations? is anybody else heading out this weekend?

Powder Mountain is looking real good for this weekend with wind direction and speed, not sure what the riding area looked like before the new foot of snow.

Pineview, was yawning this afternoon with a 10mph breeze today out of the west. I think Marty and Craig are on to something, I think maybe a Pineview day:?:

Well, I figure pretty high pressure coupled with weak flow, and no fronts.
There might be one of those Grantsville style orthographic winds in the
AM. All adds up to windless in my book. And since you always tell me
it blows at Pineview when I say it's gonna be windless. I'll let you
make the call ;*)

Hi Mike,

I only look at weather for the (liquid) water locations. Most of my
forecasting is experiential, and I just don't have the chops to make a
good guess for the Snowkiters. But Marty does 8^0.
