Arrived to 15 cars parked on the beach - what a crowd! Reminds me of the days when the beach was lined with windsurfers and a couple kiters. The ratio has flip-flopped with loads of kiters and a couple windsurfers on the water.

Wind was great all afternoon with some strong gusts that sent some riders flying high and others doing a total yard sale. It was fun to watch and there was a big contigent of family members & friends watching in lawn chairs.

Jake, Jeff, Chris, Ryan were all doing high flying antics to please the crowd. It was crazy at times, but I don't think anyone was hurt or injured. Not bad, when you consider that a couple years ago it would have been a spank-fest on "C" kites. It was great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones as well.

K Man gave you the second 1/2 report, and the 1st 1/2 was just as good and crazy but we were all on 11 M's, while 9's ruled the second half. Had a gust to 36 that blew my wind meter over, the dirt was a blowin. Was kinda a hollywood movie theme type of day. Marty was the star of Sideways, Jake was the Fast and Furious, Jeff was Over the Rainbow, Stokes was Looney Tunes on the trick water skis, and Brody was the Come Back Kid. Kenny was right on when he mentioned that the bows /sle's smoothed things out, only minimal carnage, a GOOD change from the old days. I had a great thrid day in a row.

It''s great to be home and watch the Utah LOC charging at Rush yesterday. After three weeks of driving the BEST RV from San Franciso to San diego and to Pardre island, I haven't had a good day riding on the trip until yesterday. I can't wait to go to Rush again.

There still plenty of water at Rush. I feel we have more then month left to go.

It was just as much fun to watch as to kite. Put a guy out there with a camera and it becomes a spectator sport.

Here are a bunch of photos of the fun.

Great pictures, guys. The water must be shallow if you can stand in the middle and take pictures looking down on the riders.

looks like a lot of fun.
