Blah blah blah... OH, and blah freaking blah blah...
But, blah blah blah...
Blah, blah blah blah!
BLAH! he he...
Blah blah, blah blah blah...
Blah blah... Blah blah...
However, my mom saw me plane for her first time ever on this trip... And it just happened to be at Ho'okipa!!!... Had 17 family members on this trip!!!
A lot of people say the waves are small in the summer... Yes, they are, relatively... But small is between 3 and 10 feet... I don't know about you but that's enough for me!!! Those are so much fun to play in... So, if you haven't made a trip to Maui... Um... Do... The Maui Windsurf Company rents Goya boards/sails which were awesome for me... And they are GREAT to work with... Ask for Kristian or Federico... Great people...
I did have one session on Ho'okipa where Tiffani showed up George... I thought I'd heard you won the Utah Summer Games race, so I told her that... She was guilty for not getting you the 8.5M sail in time... Her water pump had just gone out and she was taking her aggression out on the waves!!! Maui sailors are very cool... But not too cool to be excited about everything to do with windsurfing... Tiffani was fun to sail with George... Giving up a bunch of Utah wahoos! Although she didn't know what Utah Lake is!!!
The other important thing is, it was gusty at times... Up and down at times... But there was 2 and a half straight weeks of 4.1 to 5.3... 77L to 85L boards... I sailed every site possible on Maui... Inhaled much salt water... Played in the waves... Satisfied some lifelong dreams... But didn't lose my simple love for the art of windsurfing, no matter where it is...
Oh, sideshore waves make jibing sooo much easier... Especially the big rollers... I would love a future UWA Maui trip... Who'd be game for going in on group rates? It would've been fun to sail with people who I know are appreciating it in a similar way I was...
CUONDH20...
