The good news is that the very weak front that brushed by yesterday brought wind to DC. The bad news is that it was the type of wind that drives you nuts. We all know the drill; plane away from the beach on a decent puff which, however, dies as we get to the far side. Dies so completely that we wonder whether we're going to be able to get back; definitely time to quit. Eventually schlogg and/or pump back to the beach, start to carry the gear to the car, but wait, there's another pretty good puff; looks like maybe it's finally starting to fill in. Can't quit now; gotta give it one more try. Repeat cycle.

I feel for you.. Thanks for the post. Although unable to go windsurfing, I was curious what conditions would have been.

what size sail?

i'm hoping for UL this afternoon, 4 or 5pm till 8 or later. North 12-17 at alpine already. possibility is real. how about a Saratoga run Jim? If provo airport threatens to hit 12-13 you are good to go. cross your fingers.

6.6m. Worked OK in the biggest gusts, but bigger would have been better.
