Got a bit of riding in tonight. The Provo airport windmeter is down, so I didn't head out till late. I got stuck in traffic from Lehi to Springville. I got to the beach about 7:30. There isn't any beach to setup so took a while. Tried a drift launch and ended up with bed springs on my lines. By now the wind was dying. Did a few semi downwind passes before it got dark. As I packed up the kite, noticed two struts almost flat. Another project for the weekend. I don't know if the mattress spring did it or the reeds. It might be a while before I ride there again. Mine as well hit up Lindon. Are rusty nails safer?
Still, nice to get my hair wet and get the Lake Point ponds smell out! I was hoping at least someone else would've been out. Is everyone in the Gorge?
