Repeat of yesterday, but windier yet. Same hesitation, "Did I rig right?", then one tack and into the wind machine I went. 8:00-9:00 I could've used a 4.5, having flattened my 5.2 a couple times. For real - big strong pulses lasting 4-5 reaches, (note the wind record showing low 30's) with a big lift on the outbound reach as the rip-rap got bigger and BIGGER in your face before you jibed. Managed a couple of spectacular ragdolls, but the flat water was da kine for holding a lot of power while the grins got bigger as well. Swell at the North end was waist to head high (OK, just kidding.) Great to be on small stuff two days inna row. (well, small by UT standards.)
Ironmen Duane K, Tom S. and Mike Wind, were holding 5.7's and somehow not becoming kites. Mike Hill ripped on his 4.9. One kiter upwind from us looking pretty good in the strong conditions.
We packed up and pulled out at 10:30 to head to work. See ya all Thursday?
