9/19 MM19 Near Skunk but alas, Planage! 95L/6.2M

I would compare today at MM19 to a plane wreck...

Some survivors and some casualties... Those who were sitting in the back survived and the ones up front... Well, they didn't make it... It doesn't mean that those of us who "survived" don't have numerous injuries from the wait... Emmanuel waited, had fun schlogging, suffered, and didn't make it... Tom as he stated, is on the slab (although earlier, Tom, you almost got onto a sustainable plane on the bigger sail)... Mike, is on life support but I couldn't ascertain 100% whether he avoided the skunk or not... But Chris A. (8.5M/140L), Josh S.(6.3M/100L), and myself were able to ride down the inflatable slide of deskunkification to see another day! ;)

It was after about 6:30PM as Emmanuel was driving away that we got about a half hour of pretty good reaches... I took a couple good jumps... Had about 10 hearty jibes... And called it good... Emmanuel, or Emm19anuel, one day your mm19 day will come and redemption shall be yours! But I thought the schlog sesh earlier was pretty fun for a schlog sesh! Maybe the schlogging tricks we were pulling off account for something... Maybe according to windsurfing heaven, you really didn't get skunked...

Grantsville appears to have been pretty good throughout the day... Which is not always the case... Everything looked to line up for mm19... But man it came too little and too late...

Like Tom said, we really did put a pretty good dent in the one beach as far as clean up... But it needs much more... Great company under the shade tarp though... :)

For the record, I had a 30yd fully planning, feet in the straps run... If I was a football player that'd count for something right? ;)

As Rick said we were able to pump a few planners out of the 17 mph gust. Riding the swell helped to get up and going.

I sailed a total of 4 miles and got good rides 40% of the time. No skunk just a weak day.
